HYPP

Good horse flesh isn’t muscle built upon muscle.

It seems to me that the our horses are trending away from the standard that the breed was built on. In the mid to late eighties, leading breeders bred a refined little foot onto our horses. I ask you, how did that go?

I read the AQHA journals all the time.  These same breeders are now trying to bring bone structure back to our horses. Yet this same group wants us to believe that N/H is quote “gene of excellence”. That’s the biggest pile of road apples I’ve ever heard of. If N/H is so hot, why didn’t pleasure, reining, cutting and race horses have this disease 20-30 years ago.

The AQHA is finally in the process of rejecting H/H horses for registration. N/H should be on their hit list next.

Don’t be fooled when selecting your next horse. H/H and N/H are the same as a crooked leg;  genetic flaws in the quality of the horse.
